		<description>Marvin, I agree with you: We need exercise gear that generates power! My suggestion: All colleges with a decent engineering program get to work a.s.a.p.. Their goal should be to turn all exercise machines at the university gym into power generating devices, so the facility can power itself. There is probably even material for multiple PhD theses in this. Go, engineering students!</description>

Why doesn't some one invent a highefficiency generator with a large centrifical force flywheel that is powered by human pedalling an efficiently geared stationary bicycle.  You could sell them not only energy deprived countries but to the exercise industry and capture the energy given off by people trying to loose weight.  There would be many uses for such a product.
